The perfect cacik recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Cucumber
  • 350 g Süzme yoghurt, Turkish 10% fat
  • 2 Garlic cloves chopped
  • 3 tablespoon Freshly chopped mint
  • 1 Freshly chopped chilli
  • 3 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoon Hot paprika powder
  • 3 tablespoon Salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoon Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  1. Peel the cucumber, cut in half, core and cut into small cubes. Mix with all the ingredients and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  2. Süzme yogurt is dehydrated, so it does not contain whey. As a rule, the cucumbers are not grated in Turkish tzatziki.
