Without fat and unhealthy additives, but fresh and delicious – the right thing, not just for children!
First, soak a few wooden skewers, which you’ll need to skewer the potato slices, in water. This will make it easier to remove the potato slices later. Peel the potatoes and slice them into slices no more than 3 mm thick. The thinner they are, the crispier they are! Dry the potato slices thoroughly with a paper towel. Season to taste. Thread the potato slices onto the wooden skewers, ensuring the slices are not touching each other. Place the skewers in a container, ensuring the potato slices are not touching each other or the edge of the container. Microwave on high for about 5-10 minutes. Check frequently. Be careful, as a lot of hot steam will develop – you may want to vent the microwave occasionally! When the potato slices are crispy enough, remove them and remove the skewers.
