Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup nuts, ground
- 2 cups flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 cup mineral water
- 1 cake icing (milk or dark chocolate)
- Fat and flour for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes
Mug cake
Whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla sugar until frothy. Stir in the remaining ingredients in this order. Beat gently at the end to ensure a smooth, even batter. Pour the batter into a greased and floured loaf or springform pan and bake at 175°C for approximately 50-60 minutes. It’s best to use a toothpick to check if the cake is cooked through. Let the cake cool and glaze it. If desired, add decorations to the still-wet glaze. Tip: If you mix chocolate chips or drops into the batter, it tastes incredibly chocolatey.
