Feta cheese in sesame coating with zucchini vegetables

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g feta cheese
  • 1 small egg(s)
  • 4 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • 1 m.-large zucchini
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Preheat oven to 120°C top/bottom heat (100°C fan/convection oven). Cut the feta cheese into two thick slices. Whisk the egg with a fork and season with salt and pepper. Place the sesame seeds on a flat plate. Dip each feta slice first in the egg, then in the sesame seeds. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and fry the breaded cheese slices over low heat for 4 minutes on each side. Keep the cheese warm in the oven. Meanwhile, peel the garlic. Wash the spring onions and slice into thin rings. Wash and trim the zucchini. Then halve them lengthwise and slice thinly. Heat the remaining oil in the pan and fry the garlic for 2 minutes. Add the spring onions and zucchini slices and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper. Arrange on plates with the feta cheese and serve.
