Potato and pea casserole

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg potatoes
  • 375 g peas, frozen
  • 200 ml cream
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Peel and wash the potatoes and boil them for about 20 minutes. I recommend cutting the potatoes in half, depending on their size, so they don’t take as long to cook. Drain the potatoes, let them cool, and slice them. Mix the cream with salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a glass. Place half of the potatoes in a baking dish and scatter half of the peas on top. Then pour over half of the cream and sprinkle with half of the grated cheese. Add the remaining ingredients to the baking dish in the same order. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven at 180-200°C for 20 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and leave it in the oven for another 10 minutes, until the cheese is lightly browned.
