Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 200 g butter or margarine
- 200 g sugar
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 kg quark (layered cheese)
- 100 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the 6 egg yolks, then stir in the cheese mixture. Finally, add the sifted flour and baking powder mixture and stir in. Finally, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. After baking, it’s best to let the cake cool in the oven. Bake in a 28 cm springform pan at 175°C for about 75 minutes (test with a toothpick).
