Apple and potato gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g potatoes, waxy
  • 4 onions
  • 2 apples
  • Butter for the mold
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g cream
  • 125 ml meat broth
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Peel the onions. Wash the apples, halve them, and remove the cores. Cut everything into 2 mm thick slices. Layer the prepared ingredients alternately in a buttered baking dish, season with salt and pepper. Mix the cream and meat broth together and pour over the potatoes. Cook in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) (180°C fan-assisted oven) for about 1 hour. Sprinkle with grated Gouda cheese halfway through cooking and finish cooking. Serve hot.
