Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 g cheese, freshly grated
- 400 g whipped cream
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Basic recipe
Slice or grate the potatoes wafer-thinly. Grease the gratin dish and rub it with garlic. Layer the potato slices in the dish like roof tiles. Sprinkle each layer with freshly grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Pour whipped cream over the potatoes. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 40 minutes.
