Knead together softened butter, powdered sugar, and flour. Divide the dough and knead the cocoa powder into one half until it is brown throughout. Then roughly knead the two parts together to create a rough black and white pattern. Form two even dough sausages and wrap them in cling film. Chill for one hour. You can also freeze the dough. Once the dough is firm, slice the sausages and bake on a baking sheet at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 10-15 minutes. The recipe comes from a GDR children’s newspaper called “Frösi.” These cookies are a must-have every Christmas!
