creamy, healthy, soy-free, egg-free, lactose-free, quick, easy, delicious
Slice very ripe bananas that you’re not usually keen on eating anymore and place them in a freezer bag. Extract the air, seal tightly, and store in the freezer. When you get the urge for super creamy chocolate ice cream, remove the banana pieces, roughly break them up or chop them up, blend them with cocoa powder in a blender with several short bursts, and serve immediately. Depending on your taste, leave some banana pieces whole or blend everything until creamy. For me, this is the best chocolate ice cream I’ve ever eaten – with no additives and no guilt. The quantities given are just examples. It all depends on the size and ripeness of the bananas, your craving for ice cream, etc. Experiment to see if it’s sweet enough for you; otherwise, add a little more agave syrup/sugar/date syrup, etc. If you want it more chocolatey, add a little more cocoa powder.
