Pear cake from the tray

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 175 g sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 125 ml milk, 1.5% fat
  • 300 g flour
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • Grease for the tray
  • 8 bulb(s), firm
  • some lemon juice
  • 1 tsp, leveled cinnamon powder
  • 50 g sugar
  • 75 g almonds, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Peel the pears, slice them into wedges, and set aside in lemon water until ready to use. Combine the eggs and sugar in a bowl and whisk until frothy. Bring the milk and butter to a boil in a saucepan, let them cool, and then add them to the foam mixture. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder and fold in lightly. Don’t overmix, or the batter will lose its airiness! Pour the batter into a greased roasting pan and top with the pear slices. Then combine the cinnamon, sugar, and almonds and sprinkle over the pears. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes on the middle rack.
