Tex-Mex Potato Thalers in Creamy Cheese Sauce

The perfect tex-mex potato thalers in creamy cheese sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Cheese and Cream Sauce

  • 50 Size Tex-Mex spice mix
  • 3 Bit Emmental as a filling
  • 1 big toe Pressed garlic
  • 150 Size Cream cheese
  • 1 packet Cream
  • 1 toe Pressed garlic
  • Vegetable stock powder, you can also make it yourself
  • Freshly ground nutmeg
  • Colorful pepper from the mill
  • 1 Splash Lemon juice
  • Chilli oil for frying
  1. Mix ingredients 1, 2 and 4 into a smooth potato dough. I always do this with a fork. Then I divide the dough into 3 equal parts. I then shape the potato patties out of this. I fill the potato thalers with some Emmental. Any other semi-hard cheese works too. Now I fry the potato thalers in my chili oil.
  2. In a second pot I mix the cream cheese and cream and cook it up. Then I season it with vegetable stock powder, garlic and nutmeg. Let simmer until the patties are cooked through. Then arrange the Tex-Mex potato thalers on a saucepan and serve. Tastes great! Have fun with my single kitchen for one!
