1/4 pound cheeseburger with fried onions à la Didi

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 burger buns with sesame
  • 4 burger patties (125 g each)
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 tsp raw cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2 tomatoes
  • ¼ cucumber(s)
  • 4 slices of processed cheese
  • 8 tbsp hamburger sauce
  • some lettuce

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the onions and slice into thin rings. Season the onion rings with paprika and raw cane sugar. Heat a pan with the oil and fry the onion rings until golden brown. Line a bowl with kitchen paper and let the fried onions drain. Fry the burger patties in the same pan on both sides. Thinly slice the tomatoes and cucumber. Split the burger buns and fry on both sides. Add a tablespoon of hamburger sauce to each side. Place some lettuce on top. Place the burger patties and a slice of burger on top of the lettuce. Finish with cucumber slices, tomato slices, and fried onions. Close the cheeseburger, arrange and serve.
