Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed
  • 6 red bell peppers
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • 1 liter beef broth powder
  • cornstarch if needed

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 40 minutes

Finely dice the bell peppers, onions, and garlic. Brown the minced meat in a large roasting pan with 2 tablespoons of oil for about 5 minutes. Add the diced vegetables and cook for another 3 minutes. Add the tomato paste and sauté for 1 minute. Season everything with the various paprika powders, salt, pepper, and sugar. Pour in the broth and simmer in a covered pan over low heat for 2 hours. If you have the time and inclination, you can also simmer the sauce for three or four hours, which only enhances the flavor. Thicken with cornstarch at the end, if desired. Serve with rice or pasta.
