Pasta and broccoli casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (e.g. Farfalle)
  • 500 g broccoli, fresh or frozen
  • 200 g cheese, grated (Emmental)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 1 tbsp vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp soup vegetables
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 shot of dry white wine
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cook the pasta until very al dente. If using fresher broccoli, cook for 5 minutes. Drain frozen broccoli well and use 50 ml less milk! Dice the ham, onions, and garlic. Brown the ham in a hot pan with a little oil. After 5 minutes, add the onions, vegetables, and garlic and sauté briefly. Deglaze with a splash of white wine and simmer briefly. Whisk together the milk, cream, spices, egg, and cheese; season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and nutmeg. Place the pasta and broccoli in a baking dish. Pour the ham and onion mixture over the mixture. Stir well. Now spread the cream mixture over the casserole. Bake at 220°C for 20 minutes.
