“Juicy Lucy Burger” filled with Kerrygold Cheddar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 burger bun (brioche)
  • 180 g minced beef
  • 3 slice(s) Cheddar (Kerrygold Burger Cheddar)
  • 2 slices of bacon
  • 1 tbsp jalapeño(s), pickled
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp butter (Kerrygold Original Irish Butter)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • some mustard
  • some ketchup

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fry the bacon in the oven or pan until crispy and cut into small pieces. Finely chop the jalapeños. Peel and finely dice the onions. Heat the Kerrygold butter in a pan and fry the onions until golden brown, season with salt and sugar, and then set aside. Fill half of a dessert ring (10 cm diameter) with the minced beef. Press in gently to form a well. If there is no dessert ring, form it with your hands. Add the Kerrygold Burger Cheddar, jalapeños, and bacon to the well. Add the rest of the meat and press down lightly. Heat a pan or grill and cook the burger patty for 3-4 minutes on each side. Turn off the heat and cover the patty until the burger bun is ready. Cut open the burger bun and brush both sides with butter. Lightly toast until golden brown. Then spread the bun halves with ketchup and mustard to taste. Place the patty on the bun, add onions and put the lid on.
