Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 large onion(s), diced
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 g minced beef or mixed
  • 200 g tomato sauce with basil, from the jar
  • ½ tbsp garlic granules or garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chili flakes or chili powder
  • ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 5 tbsp Gouda, grated
  • 5 sausages (Krakauer or hot dog sausages)
  • 5 hot dog buns
  • n. B. Spring onion(s), chopped
  • e.g. Jalapeño(s), chopped
  • 5 tbsp mustard

quick, easy, delicious

Brown the ground beef and half of the finely diced onions in a pot or pan over medium heat in oil. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and chili. Add the tomato sauce to the ground beef, a dash of apple cider vinegar, and simmer on low heat for about 10-15 minutes, until slightly thickened. Season again to taste. Meanwhile, heat the Krakauer or hot dog sausages in boiling water. Assemble the hot dogs: Cut open the hot dog bun, place the sausage inside, and add 1-2 tablespoons of ground beef sauce. Sprinkle with grated Gouda, a little mustard, diced onions, and, if desired, a little spring onion and jalapeño peppers. Enjoy!
