Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g spinach
- 1 onion(s)
- 100 g butter or margarine
- Nutmeg, grated
- Salt
- 30 g wheat flour
- 500 ml milk
- 200 g double cream cheese
- 200 g cooked ham, diced
- 250 g lasagna sheet(s)
- 150 g sheep’s cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Sort the spinach, wash it, and drain well. Peel and finely dice the onion. Melt 50g of butter. Sauté the diced onion in it. Add the spinach and sauté briefly. Season with nutmeg and salt. Melt the remaining butter and heat the flour, stirring constantly, until it turns light yellow. Pour in the milk, whisking thoroughly, ensuring there are no lumps. Bring the sauce to a boil and simmer briefly. Fold in the double cream cheese, cooked ham, and spinach, and season with salt. Layer the mixture alternately with the lasagna sheets in a greased baking dish, finishing with a layer of spinach mixture. Finely crumble the feta cheese and sprinkle over the casserole. Bake the lasagna at 170-200°C, 150-180°C fan/gas mark 3-4 for approximately 35-40 minutes.
