Fresh grain porridge

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 tbsp grain (six-grain mix)
  • n. B. water
  • 3 apricot(s), dried, unsulphured
  • ½ apple
  • 1 banana(s)
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp natural yogurt
  • some walnuts (halves)
  • some pumpkin seeds
  • possibly honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 10 minutes

for a vital and balanced start to the day

The night before, grind the six-grain mixture and soak the grain in enough water to completely cover it. Cover and let it soak overnight at room temperature (at least 5 hours). Also that evening, chop the dried apricots and soak them in a little water in another container. The next morning, add the apricots and the soaking water to the grain. Wash the apple, coarsely grate it with the peel, and add it to the grain (I don’t add lemon juice here, as I eat the fresh grain porridge promptly). Mash the banana down to 3-4 slices and mix it in as well. Fold in the walnut halves and pumpkin seeds along with the natural yogurt. Season to taste with a pinch of cinnamon. If you like, you can sweeten it with a little more honey. Finally, garnish the fresh grain porridge with the remaining banana slices and, if desired, scatter a few more walnut halves on top.
