  • 1 orange(s)
  • 1 banana(s)
  • 1 lemon(s), juice
  • 500 g yogurt
  • 4 tbsp sweet cream
  • 160 g bulgur, cooked
  • n. B. Milk of your choice
  • Sugar (alternatively maple syrup, pear syrup to taste)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 42 minutes

Preparation for the bulgur: You need about 40g of bulgur per person, which is about half a cup. 1 part bulgur requires 2 parts water (with a pinch of salt). Pour boiling water over the bulgur, simmer for 2 minutes, and then let it swell in a warm place for 15-20 minutes. Tips: This can be done ahead of time so that the bulgur has cooled down before you make the muesli. In winter, you can also use it straight after it has swelled for a warming breakfast. For the muesli, peel and chop the orange and banana. Grate or finely dice the apple, leaving the core intact. Mix the fruit with the lemon juice, cream, and yogurt. Stir in the cooked bulgur. Now add enough milk to make the muesli nice and moist. If the fruit isn’t sweet enough, sweeten it with sugar, maple syrup, or pear syrup. The fruit can of course be varied according to taste: pears, grapes, plums, dates, raisins, sultanas, etc.
