Broccoli gratin with garlic cream

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g broccoli
  • 3 potatoes, boiled
  • 2 onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 50 g smoked Kasseler
  • 100 ml milk, low-fat
  • 100 ml cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • Oil (olive oil)
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius (fan oven: 170 degrees Celsius). Cook the broccoli florets in salted water for about 1 minute, then drain in a colander. Boil the potatoes unpeeled, then peel and slice them. Grease the bottom of an ovenproof dish with oil. Arrange the potato slices and broccoli florets in the dish. Chop the onions into small pieces and fry them in a pan with the crushed garlic. Spread the onions, garlic and diced smoked pork over the broccoli. Mix the milk, cream, eggs, salt, pepper and grated cheese and pour over the vegetables. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve with fresh baguette or ciabatta bread.
