  • 250 ml lukewarm water, 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small can of tomato paste
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt

  • 100 g salami, diced
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • 1 small can of mushrooms
  • 10 green olives, chopped
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Prepare a yeast dough from flour, yeast, sugar, salt, lukewarm water, and olive oil. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Heat olive oil in a small saucepan, sauté the diced onion and crushed garlic, deglaze with tomato paste and 2 tablespoons of water, season with salt, pepper, Italian herbs, and Worcestershire sauce, and simmer for 10 minutes. Let the sauce cool slightly. Roll out the dough, spread with the tomato sauce, and top with diced salami, chopped olives, sliced ​​mushrooms, and grated cheese. Roll the dough up from the long side and cut the roll into 2-3 cm thick slices. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let rest for another 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake the snails for 30-35 minutes.
