Maultaschen casserole with cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g Maultasche(s) from the refrigerated section
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 200 ml white wine, semi-dry
  • 200 ml whole milk or cream
  • 200 g grated cheese, as desired
  • 50 g chives, frozen, more if needed
  • e.g. dried meat or bacon
  • Salt and pepper from the mill
  • e.g. chili flakes
  • n. B. Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

simple, quick, after-work recipe

Mix the chives with the white wine and let it steep for about 10 minutes. Then stir in the milk, sour cream, and cheese. Season with pepper and a little salt for the dried meat. Add chili flakes and paprika, if desired. Arrange the Maultaschen, whole or sliced, in an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with the dried meat or bacon, season with plenty of freshly ground pepper, and pour over the cream. Bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Please monitor the oven from the 20th minute onward, as oven temperatures may vary.
