Gouda rolls on bread slices

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 pack of cream cheese with herbs (e.g. Bresso)
  • 1 pack of cream cheese
  • 2 onions
  • 50 g raw ham (e.g. diced ham)
  • 80 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 2 egg(s), hard boiled, peeled
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 6 slices of cheese (Gouda)
  • salt and pepper
  • curry powder
  • 60 slices of bread (black bread slices, 4 cm diameter)

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Place the herb cream cheese and cream cheese in a bowl. Finely dice the onions and eggs. Finely chop the chives. Add the ham, grated Gouda, eggs, onions, and chives to the cheese mixture. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Spread the cheese mixture onto the Gouda slices. Roll up starting at the short end. Refrigerate (this makes them easier to slice). Cut the Gouda rolls into approximately 1 cm thick slices and place them on the bread slices. The Gouda rolls can be prepared 1-2 days in advance.
