Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 large rolls
  • 300 g pork mince
  • 30 g butter
  • 100 g shallot(s)
  • 10 g garlic, finely diced
  • 50 g tomatoes, dried, diced
  • 50 g bell pepper(s), finely diced
  • 50 g Parmesan, finely grated
  • ½ tsp oregano, dried, shredded
  • ½ tsp basil, dried, shredded
  • e.g. Cheddar cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

A super quick dinner or lunch for the whole family.

Peel the shallots and garlic and finely dice. Wash the bell pepper, pat dry, and remove the skin and seeds. Weigh out 50g of the flesh and cut into small cubes. Cut the rest into sticks for later use as a side dish. Melt the butter in a pan, add the diced shallots, garlic, and tomatoes, and sauté until translucent, stirring frequently. Place this mixture in a bowl with the ground beef, spices, Parmesan cheese, and diced bell peppers. Knead into a dough and let rest for 10 minutes. Halve the rolls. Divide the minced meat into sixths, spread evenly between the rolls, and press down. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Place the rolls on a rack lined with baking paper and place the rack in the middle of the oven for 25 minutes. Then remove them briefly to sprinkle the rolls with grated Cheddar cheese, if desired. Now return the oven to the middle rack for about five minutes to melt the cheese or, if desired, lightly brown it. Serve the roll halves with fresh vegetables, if desired.
