the hearty alternative to “Poor Knight”

Wash the tomatoes. Drain the mozzarella. Slice the tomato and mozzarella. Top the four slices of cooked ham on the four slices of toast. Top two of them with tomato and mozzarella, leaving some space around the edges. Place one slice without tomato and mozzarella and one with tomato slices together to create two sandwiches of cooked ham, tomato, and mozzarella. Beat the eggs with the milk, salt, and pepper on a plate or in a small bowl. Dip the sandwiches in the egg to soften slightly. Press the edges of the toast together to seal the toast. Fry in a pan until golden brown and enjoy warm. Approx. 520 kcal per serving.
