Austrian snack specialty

First, cut the baguette in half lengthwise, leaving the back side closed. Roughly dice the onion. Preparation on a contact grill: Place the sausages on the grill lightly coated with cooking oil and close the grill until the sausages are cooked. Place the baguette, halved lengthwise, unfolded with the crust facing up, in the grill and close the grill. When the grill is fully heated, leave the baguette in for about 30 seconds. It will be so soft! Preparation in the oven: Fry the sausages in a pan until cooked through. Brush the remaining fat onto the inside of the cut baguette with a brush and heat it at about 180 degrees Celsius for about 5 minutes. It will be crispy more quickly this way! Remove the baguette from the oven or grill and place it unfolded on a piece of aluminum foil. First put the onions on the bread, then ketchup and mayonnaise, then the sausages and season with curry. Fold the bread and wrap it in foil. If the sausage or bread has cooled in the meantime, simply return it to the grill or oven for a short time. The Bosna is eaten with your fingers, not with a fork and knife. This recipe is highly adaptable. Some people add garlic sauce, cocktail sauce, or other sausages. The chef is free to experiment and every taste is allowed. It will probably take several attempts to find your own favorite combination.
