Plated meat with bouillon potatoes from the slow cooker

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg beef (beef brisket)
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp lovage, chopped, fresh
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • Horseradish, or creamed horseradish
  • Water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 6 hours 30 minutes

Finely chop the soup vegetables, onion, and lovage, peel and dice the potatoes, and add everything to the slow cooker with the meat. Pour in enough water to cover the meat, add the salt and bay leaf, and cook on high for about 6 hours. Once the cooking time is complete, remove any fat from the meat and thinly slice the brisket. Remove the potato cubes from the broth with a slotted spoon and arrange them on plates with the meat. Pour a little broth over the plated meat and sprinkle with the chives cut into rings. Serve the plated meat with horseradish or creamed horseradish.
