Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 turkey schnitzels, double cut
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 120 g quark (cottage cheese)
  • 100 g mushrooms
  • 1 small red bell pepper(s)
  • Chives, parsley
  • Flour
  • egg(s)
  • breadcrumbs
  • Fat or oil
  • salt and pepper

the elegant way of schnitzel

Pound the schnitzels, season with salt and pepper, and top with ham. Spread the curd cheese seasoned with chives and parsley, the diced bell peppers, and the finely chopped mushrooms on top. The schnitzels are then placed together, secured with a toothpick if desired. They can then be breaded and baked. The schnitzels can also be fried. Serve with parsley-dried potatoes and a mixed salad.
