- Most KB friends know why I still sometimes use finished products & think I don’t have to explain it again. If there are any questions you can write to me … so and now the recipe!
- Why Rudi Carrell? Almost everyone knows him and whoever has seen his shows knows that he was almost always of the opinion: let yourself be surprised. The stroop waffles, chocolate and maple syrup in the batter make it a little surprise in terms of taste.
- Chop chocolate & stroop waffles into small pieces with a knife, a chopping knife or a food processor. Put eggs, soft butter, milk, maple syrup & the baking mixture in a bowl and mix with a hand mixer or put in a kneading machine and knead until a fine, fluffy dough is formed. Finally add the chopped stroop waffles and the chocolate and mix into the batter.
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Put the dough in a greased and floured cake tin or, as with me, in a Guglhupfform & place it in the preheated oven and bake in it for 60 minutes. The chopstick test will show you when the cake is ready.
- After the baking time, take the cake out of the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes, then turn it down on a decorative plate and wait until it has cooled down. In the meantime, the glaze, in my case chocolate, can be warmed up and then spread over the cake as you like.
- P.S. For the chocolate, I opted for a COEUR d’OR (white praline). Since the stroop waffle pieces are a little heavier, they sink more or less to the bottom of the cake when baking, but since it is overturned later, the crispy mass is back on top.
- So my dear KB friends, because I am not perfect either, from time to time I would like to ask you to write / point out any errors or questions and I will correct / change them as soon as possible. Have fun baking and enjoy your meal, your tine
