Baked Asparagus with Lemon Butter

The perfect baked asparagus with lemon butter recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 800 g Asparagus white
  • 50 ml Vegetable broth
  • 50 ml White wine
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 100 g Butter
  • 1 Lemon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Preheat the oven to 200c.
  2. Peel the asparagus, cut off the woody ends and place in a buttered dish
  3. Mix the stock, wine and sugar and pour over the asparagus in the oven and cook for 30 minutes until al dente.
  4. Mix the soft butter with the grated zest of the lemon and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, season with salt and pepper.
  5. After 25 minutes, spread the butter on the asparagus and finish cooking.
