Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 chicken schnitzels (100 g each)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp Italian herbs (frozen)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • some salt and pepper
  • 400g spaghetti
  • salt water
  • e.g. Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the schnitzel into strips. Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Brown the meat strips on both sides in hot olive oil, add the diced onion and garlic, and braise for 2-3 minutes. Pour in the passata, season with salt, pepper, sugar, and herbs, and simmer covered for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in plenty of salted water until al dente, drain in a sieve, and transfer to a bowl. Stir in the schnitzel sauce. Serve on plates and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
