Steak with figs and Gorgonzola cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g beef fillet(s)
  • 1 bag of mixed salad
  • 4 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • salt and pepper
  • 5 tbsp oil
  • 4 figs, fresh
  • 100 g Gorgonzola with mascarpone
  • 100 ml red wine
  • 100 ml water
  • 30 g butter
  • 1 small onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the beef fillet into 4 steaks. Chop the onion. Mix together the vinegar, salt, pepper, honey, and 3 tablespoons of oil. Add the chopped onion and toss with the lettuce. Fry the meat in the remaining oil for about 2 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper. Place in the preheated oven (200°C) and keep warm. Quarter the figs and place on the steaks. Dice the cheese and spread on top. Bake for about 6 minutes. Heat the pan juices, add the wine, and simmer for about 10 minutes until reduced by half. Whisk in the butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
