Smokey's Brussels Sprout and Bacon Salad

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 100 g bacon, in one piece
  • 50 g walnuts, roughly chopped, roasted without fat
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp broth
  • 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 2 tbsp cream
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard
  • n. B. Pepper, from the mill
  • n. B. Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Winter vegetable salad

Prepare the Brussels sprouts and cook in salted water or a steamer until firm to the bite. Drain well. Cut the bacon into sticks and fry in a frying pan without fat until crispy. Drain well on a paper towel. For the dressing, whisk all ingredients together well. Toss the Brussels sprouts with the dressing and fold in the bacon bits. Finally, add the nuts.
