Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250g basmati
- n. B. water
- ½ bell pepper(s), finely chopped
- 1 onion(s), finely chopped
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp chili flakes, if desired
- 100 ml orange juice
- some sesame oil for frying
- 1 tbsp soy sauce, if desired

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Rice with a difference
Place the rice in a pot with enough water to come up to about 1-1.5 cm above the rice and cook according to the package instructions. While the rice is cooking, finely chop the onion and half a bell pepper. First add the chopped onion to the pan and sauté in sesame oil until translucent. Then add the bell pepper and fry both briefly. Then add the rice and fry everything for a few minutes. When there is no more sesame oil, or only a little, add the orange juice. Then season with honey, chili flakes, salt and soy sauce. Then fry the rice for just a few minutes, and it is ready to serve. If you like, you can add other vegetables or leave them out altogether, depending on your taste.
