Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 150 ml milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cube of fresh yeast
- 500 g flour
- 100 g sugar
- 1 egg(s)
- 2 tbsp low-fat curd cheese
- 80 g butter, soft
- brown sugar
- Almond flakes
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
First, warm the milk to lukewarm and add the salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar (approx. 20 g). Then crumble in the yeast and mix everything together well. Using a dough hook, knead the flour, sugar, egg, quark, butter, and the mixed yeast milk into a smooth dough. Cover the finished dough with a damp tea towel and let it rise in the oven at 40°C for about 30 minutes. Once the dough has doubled in size, form it into plum-sized balls with floured hands. At the same time, prepare three deep plates with water, brown sugar, and flaked almonds. First, dip the formed rolls into the water, then press the same side into the sugar, and finally into the flaked almonds. Place the finished rolls on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a hot oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Then let them cool on a wire rack.
