Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 schnitzels
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 100 ml cream
  • 250 g dumpling dough
  • some salt and pepper

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Season the schnitzel with salt and pepper and place it in a baking dish. Mix the dumpling dough with the cheese and spread it evenly over the schnitzel. Then, using your fingertips, make small holes in the dumpling dough and then pour the cream over it. It also tastes delicious with a mushroom mixture on top. You can also sprinkle a little grated cheese over the dumpling mixture. Then place in the oven at 170°C (convection oven) for 60 minutes, covering if necessary. Depending on the thickness of the schnitzel, the oven time will increase.
