Pasta – Ham – Gratin

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 350 g pasta (e.g. spirals)
  • 300 g ham, cooked, diced
  • 800 ml meat broth (light)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • salt and pepper,
  • nutmeg
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 150 g cheese, grated (I prefer Peccorino)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place the raw pasta in a suitable ovenproof casserole dish. Sprinkle the diced ham over the pasta. Mix the liquids with the spices and season to taste. Stir in the cornstarch and spread it over the pasta. The pasta should just be coated. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the pasta and bake in a preheated oven at 180-200°C for about 30 minutes.
