Stuffed onions with minced meat

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 large onions
  • 200 g minced meat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp oat flakes
  • 1 tbsp chives
  • salt and pepper
  • Thyme
  • Butter in flakes
  • some breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onion, trim off the top third, and blanch in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Remove and refresh briefly. Remove the inside of the onion and chop finely. Combine the minced meat with the chopped onion, egg, chives, and oat flakes. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme. Stuff the onions with the mixture. Place in a buttered ovenproof dish, sprinkle with butter flakes and breadcrumbs on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 45 minutes. Cover after 30 minutes if necessary.
