Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pretzel sticks
  • 150 g coleslaw in vinegar and oil
  • 350 g minced meat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 60 g cheese (Emmental or Gouda), coarsely grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

a delicious snack – to enjoy hot, warm or cold

Drain the coleslaw and squeeze out some of the excess water. Split the pretzel sticks in half lengthwise and hollow out the halves. Chop the coleslaw slightly finer and mix with the minced meat, the inside of the pretzel sticks, and the egg. Fill the pretzel sticks with the mixture and place them on a baking tray. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top. Bake in a hot oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes. Don’t leave it in the oven for too long, or the pretzel sticks will become too dry. The filled pretzel sticks go well with a hearty potato or vegetable soup, or as a party snack. They taste just as good freshly baked as they do lukewarm or cold. I rarely let them get cold, though, as I’ve eaten them all before then.
