Refreshing peppermint syrup

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g peppermint, fresh
  • 500 g sugar
  • 250 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Rinse fresh peppermint, pluck the leaves, pat dry, and puree with 200g of sugar. Then simmer with 300g of sugar and the water for about 5 minutes. Strain through a cheesecloth and, once cooled, bottle. To enjoy the syrup: Pour a little into a glass and top with mineral water.
