Kasseler with honey and mustard sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 slices of Kasseler cutlets
  • 2 cups medium-hot mustard
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Fat, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Mix the honey and mustard in a bowl. Remove the bones from the meat slices and coat them in the honey-mustard mixture, creating a thin layer. Then simply fry the meat in a pan until golden brown. Add the remaining honey-mustard sauce after 3-5 minutes of frying. Don’t overcook, or the sauce will become bitter. I always serve it with buttered vegetables and mashed potatoes.
