Schnitzel topped with tomatoes and cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 1 pack of processed cheese slices
  • 1 packet of hollandaise sauce
  • 1 bag of spaetzle
  • salt and pepper
  • Water
  • 1 cube of meat broth, clear
  • Paprika powder
  • 2 eggs for breading
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • some fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Pound the schnitzels well and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Then coat them with eggs and breadcrumbs as usual. Fry the schnitzels in oil and then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Slice the tomatoes and arrange them on top. Drizzle with hollandaise sauce and cover with the cheese slices. Bake the whole thing in the oven at 200°C. Cook the spaetzle in water with the stock cube until al dente. The remaining hollandaise sauce can be warmed and served with the side dish.
