Gorgonzola schnitzel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 large onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 ½ can pizza tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 ½ cups cream
  • 150g Gorgonzola
  • 1 cube of stock
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 4 pork schnitzels or turkey schnitzels

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Finely chop the onions and garlic and sauté in olive oil. Add the tomatoes and cream. Finely chop the Gorgonzola and fold in. Dissolve the stock cube in a little water (or use stock granules) and add to the sauce along with the sage. Season with salt and pepper. Season the schnitzel with salt and pepper and coat in flour. Grease a baking dish, pour in half of the sauce, place the schnitzel on top, and cover with the remaining sauce. Cook at 200°C for approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on the thickness of the schnitzel. This dish is delicious with tagliatelle.
