Walnut dip with mascarpone

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 80 g walnut halves, approx.
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp water, boiling
  • 125 g mascarpone
  • ½ tsp salt, approx.
  • some pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Roast the walnuts in a pan without fat until they smell fragrant and begin to brown. Let them cool on a plate and then break them into pieces. Meanwhile, peel the garlic cloves, roughly chop them, and place them in a small bowl with 2 tablespoons of boiling water. Let them stand for 10 minutes. Place the mascarpone, walnuts, garlic, and water in a suitable container and puree with a hand blender. Season with salt and pepper. Let them stand in the refrigerator and season again before serving. Serve with crackers or bread as a dip, or spread thickly on toasted slices of bread and serve as finger food or on crostini.
