Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 100 ml oil, e.g. rapeseed oil
  • 3 apples
  • 100 g sugar, alternatively low-calorie xylitol (sugar substitute)
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring or the pulp of a vanilla pod
  • Cinnamon sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Combine low-fat quark, oil, sugar, and the seeds of one vanilla pod. Then combine the flour and baking powder and stir in. Finally, fold in the apple pieces. Form the dough into a ball. Cut into quarters with a knife, then into eighths, and shape each eighth into a ball again. Bake the apple balls in the oven at 200°C (400°F), fan oven at 180°C (350°F), for 25 minutes.
