Minced meat and spinach strudel with feta

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 pack of strudel sheets
  • 200 g minced beef
  • 200 g leaf spinach, frozen
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • oregano
  • rosemary
  • olive oil
  • sesame

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Thaw the spinach leaves, squeeze dry, and drain the liquid. Dice the shallot and chop the garlic. Sauté in a pan with a little olive oil until translucent. Add the ground beef and brown, then add the thawed spinach and fry briefly. Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the sour cream. Season the filling with spices and herbs. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Dice the feta. Brush the strudel pastry sheets with olive oil, then spread the minced meat and spinach filling on top. Place the feta lengthwise in the center and roll up the strudel. Brush the top of the strudel again with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for about 30 minutes.
