cooked with rock candy also as cough syrup and for sore throats,
Finely chop the sage and stemmed thyme, pour 250 ml of boiling water over them along with the ground cloves, let it steep for 5 minutes, and then filter into a small bottle using a funnel and sieve. Gargle with it as needed; it has immediate relief from sore throats and toothaches, especially for gingivitis. Store in a cool place for no longer than 2-3 days. For a long-lasting sore throat and cough syrup, gently simmer the herbal extract with rock candy or sugar and ascorbic acid until dissolved. Stir the honey into the liquid while it is still boiling.
