Apple compote with yogurt

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • e.g. yogurt (whichever you prefer)
  • 8 large apples
  • 1 large lemon(s)
  • some cinnamon
  • some sugar
  • possibly chocolate shavings or cocoa powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

A very tasty and simple recipe from my friend

First, peel and core the apples, cut them into fairly large pieces, and cook them in a saucepan with the lemon, a little cinnamon, and sugar until soft. The cooking time will vary depending on how thick or thin the apples are. When the apples are done, drain the liquid. Now layer them: first, the yogurt (you can sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar over the yogurt), then the apple compote, and repeat this process until you’re done. The apple compote should be the last layer. You can decorate with chocolate chips or cocoa powder.
