Curd dumplings with strawberry jam

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 300 g quark (cottage cheese)
  • 40 g semolina
  • 20 g vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 150 g butter
  • 200 g breadcrumbs
  • 250 g strawberries
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • some sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Quark dumplings

Squeeze the curds well with a tea towel and mix with the semolina, vanilla sugar, egg yolk, egg, and a pinch of salt using a wooden spoon. Let rest for 1-2 hours! Form dumplings using 2 tablespoons and simmer gently in water for 10-15 minutes! Lightly toast the butter and breadcrumbs, add a little sugar, and roll the fluffy dumplings in the mixture, then dust with powdered sugar! Strawberry puree: Blend the strawberries with the sugar and pass through a sieve. Serve with the fruit sauce and enjoy! They taste very fluffy and simply delicious!
